karpenisi. pictures of you.

Ten degrees less than the city, sleeping with a blanket and all windows closed.
A frog in the garden that was the largest frog we had ever seen.
Something in my eye that woke us up at 5 am and made us drive around the mountains until the wind would make my eyes watery and my eye at peace again. The sunrise that made the sky red.
Hiking for hours and seeing a deer in the valley.
A house full of photos from the past and birthdays and large pattern of the early 90s and framed pictures that were somehow modern back then.
Scary drives under rocky mountains and shinny tea cups.

And a tune

Our summer holidays are weekend excursions.
Last weekend was spent in Eretria, which is like going on holidays back in the 80s.
Hurray for outdoor showers, plastic sandals, watermelons, balloons sold on the main street and steep roofs.

aix en provence

Strolling through Aix en Provence was superb - as the French would say. Although the architecture throughout the south is pretty similar, somehow each village or town seems to have its own character. We tried out some local sweets and visited breath taking churches, and admired the color palette of the city, before heading to Raphael's home town to have dinner with his family.

I just finished watching both seasons of the Affair and can't seem to stop humming the theme song by Fiona Apple.
